How do you hit an exact KB range?

For JPG output the tool automatically tests different quality levels and picks the one that fits between your minimum and maximum KB. If a size is impossible at the chosen dimensions, we tell you and get as close as we can.

My photo isn't square — will it get stretched?

Only if you turn off "Keep aspect ratio". For a square passport photo it's best to crop your image to roughly square first, then resize here so faces stay in proportion.

Which format should I choose?

Use JPG when the form specifies a KB limit — it compresses best. Use PNG only if you need lossless quality.

Does it work on mobile?

What background color should my photo have?
