How it began
She's a mother of two, and like most parents, her evenings revolve around her kids — homework, dinner, bedtime. One evening, with both children finally asleep, she sat down to finish their school admission applications online — the last task on a very long day.
Everything went smoothly until the very last step: uploading a signature and a photo. The form was strict — the signature had to be exactly 140×60 pixels and between 10 and 20 KB. Her scan was neither, and the upload kept failing with "file too large" and no clue how to fix it.
She tried Paint, screenshots, and a handful of sketchy websites that wanted her to sign up, wait in a queue, or worse — upload her family's documents to some unknown server. One by one they failed her, and the deadline crept closer.
"It shouldn't be this hard. I just want the right size — and I don't want to hand my children's photos to a website I've never heard of."
That frustration became an idea: getting an image to the right pixels and the right KB should be simple, instant, and completely private — working on the very device you're already holding, with nothing ever leaving it. So SignatureResize was born, for anyone stuck at 11 PM with a form that won't accept their signature.
